It's a beautifully done website but is the timeline citing sound film by Lee Deforest in 1896 correct? I know that Eugene Lauste was experimenting with optical tracks by modulating acetylene gas beginning circa 1906 AFTER he left Edison. Perhaps he'd been doing it before he joined Edison. But Deforest I think, wasn't involved with his "Phonofilm" until AFTER Tri-Ergon in Germany announced their system, circ a 1919 |

Unbelievable site !! I was beginning to think I was the only one interested in vintage PA. My grandfather started setting up PA in the early 30's, and over the years my father & I joined as well.
